Australia's The Great Barrier Reef

The Great Barrier Reef has evolved over millions of years near the continent of Australia.
It is one of the richest areas in terms of diversity (the number of different kinds of animals) in the entire world.

The Great Barrier Reef contains more than just corals, including roughly 1,500 kinds of fish, over 4,000 species of mollusk (like snails and clams), and over 400 species of sponges. It is also homes to tons of worms, shrimp, crabs, and starfish.

The reef serves as an important place for many animals to build nests and have babies, including Humpback Whales, Sea Turtles, and Dugongs
