Canines are a group of carnivorous mammals,
usually sharing the common physical traits of triangular ears, a
long, tapered snout, and a somewhat bushy tail. Although their habitats
range from arctic wilderness to your own back yard, canines are
primarily social animals, with most living in close-knit family
groups (packs) throughout their whole lives. They are typically
vocal animals, using any variety of whines, growls and barks to
communicate, as well as physical posturing to express everything
from excitement to submission.
